Adam Steinbaugh, an aspiring lawyer externing at Baker, Keener & Nahra who was once the Student Body President at Whittier College, has questioned whether my network has suffered any Denial of Service (DOS) attacks.  This table displays an excerpt, broken down by host (IP address, each representing an individual or computer), of recent traffic to my network that is or was abusive in nature. In addition to traffic details, the table also includes the “User-Agent” string contained in the requests. In all of these cases, the traffic was generated by “scraper” programs — software ostensibly designed to capture the contents of a site. In most cases, the scraper software was executed in a way that was intended to cause service outages on my network, which constitutes a DOS attack. The stats speak for themselves.
