About the Author John S. Waggoner completed his undergraduate work at Cornell University and received his Ph.D. at Boston College. He worked as a Legislative Aide in the Massachusetts State Senate. He taught political science at Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts. He has also taught at the American University of Paris, the Sorbonne, and the American University in Cairo. He now resides in Washington D.C.
